Form of workDon't miss this opportunity! Be part of a high performing team working for one of Australia's largest aquaculture and prawn farming operations based in Exmouth Western Australia as a full-time Aquaculture Attendant.
Reporting to the Founder stock Facility Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking aquaculture related tasks, specifically in relation to the culture of prawns, within a biosecure environment at our Founder Stock Facility.
The responsibilities of this role are varied, covering all aspects of prawn aquaculture including but not limited to:
- Workplace Health & Safety;
- Tank preparation;
- Stocking;
- Feeding;
- Production;
- Environmental and water quality management;
- Implementation and enforcement of biosecurity, hygiene and sanitation protocols;
- Data and sample collection, recording and analysis.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- No experience or aquaculture knowledge required, on the job training will be provided;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment;
- Proactive, professional individual who has a focus on quality and attention to detail;
- Organisational and time management skills in order to manage multiple tasks at any one time, as well as support others in meeting agreed deliverables;
- Capable of written and verbal communication skills (English);
- Current and valid driver licence;
- Eligibility to work in Australia.

A qualification in aquaculture such as Certificate III, Bachelor of Science or similar plus experience in aquaculture operations working in prawn culture or hatchery operations will be highly regarded but not essential.
