Rates dependent on qualifications and experience.

The Arborist/Climber must manage and lead a crew, have relevant qualifications and experience to perform complex tree pruning and removal, often in confined spaces and always represent the company in a professional manner.  Undertake arboreal, landscaping and manual duties efficiently and effectively whilst adhering to safe work practises and meeting relevant work health legislation and government regulations.  Other duties may include arboreal quoting and/or consultation.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities (Not in order of priority)

An employee at this level will possess formal arboreal/horticultural qualifications to enable them to perform some or all of the following duties: 

• Tree pruning and removal
• Tree hazard assessment and reporting;
• Operate EWP, Chipper and/or Bobcat;
• Traffic Control;
• Weed Spraying;
• Stump Grinding;
• Depot, equipment and vehicle maintenance;

Comply with OH&S and Environmental policies and procedures including work health legislation and government regulations.

Must have strong customer focus and conduct must be professional at all times.  Able to work with minimal supervision, lead a crew and travel away from base as required.

Education and Experience

Relevant Arboreal or Horticultural qualification and/or minimum 3 years climbing experience.

Must have current Drivers Licence and White Card.  

Desirable: Truck Licence (Min MR) and EWP Licence.

Knowledge of OH&S and environmental principles and regulations.
