Cotter Reid Architects is a mid size, vibrant Architectural firm specialising in innovative education and healthcare projects. We seek an enthusiastic, experienced, detail orientated Architect or draftsperson to join our creative team.
The successful applicant will fill a key role leading a BIM team to model designs using Revit and Enscape and to prepare tender and construction documents.
Great interpersonal communication skills are required to brief and lead the documentation team to ensure accurate and efficient documents are produced in a timely manner. Co-ordinating with a suite of sub-consultants will be required also.
The candidate must be flexible and proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
Prepare architectural plans and construction documents whilst ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and project specifications.
Manage documentation team as well as prepare documents independently.
Report to Director or assigned project leader on brief, deadlines and progress.
Maintain relationships with project managers, consultants, clients, authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design and construction processes.
Assist and collaborate with wider team in Design and Interiors, when required.
Stay up to date with contemporary construction methods and materials particularly those with good sustainability characteristics.
Participate in team and office meetings.
Required Experience
- Collaborate with team to streamline workflows and ensure efficient yet accurate outputs.
- 10+ years architectural experience with a focus on tender and construction documentation
- Completed relevant qualifications.
- Proven experience managing documentation teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, NCC and Australian Standards.
- Great knowledge of Revit software and experience using Enscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding work ethic and able to work individually and as part of a team.
- Australian Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Permanent Australian work rights with no restrictions

The role will be offered as a full-time position of 40 hours per week located in our Geelong Newtown office.
