The role

We are looking for an experienced and energetic salesperson to step into a permanent full-time Area Business Manager role focusing on our on premise and off premise trade.

The role requires you to represent our red+white portfolio in a professional and efficient manner in your designated territory (Gold Coast), servicing the existing client base and canvassing for new customers.

This role would ideally suit someone who thrives on the challenge of gaining new business and achieving targets and goals, with a strong network within the industry. We will consider both someone with a strong sales background or a highly experienced candidate from the wine and hospitality sector, ready to make the move into sales.

The ideal candidate will self-motivated, driven and have a passion for wine and sales. The role will report into our Queensland State Manager and is based out of our Milton office.

Responsibilities

  • Account management & growth
  • Resolving customer queries via telephone, email or face to face
  • Reporting on sales, trade & brand activity
  • Identify, pursue and negotiate new business opportunities
  • Develop yearly and monthly strategies for meeting and exceeding budgets
  • Provide action plans and target lists for key brands in the portfolio
  • Aligning promotional activities to improve sales results

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of sales experience 
  • 5+ years in wine, FMCG or luxury item sales
  • A natural ability to drive positive sales outcomes whilst building and maintaining meaningful relationships
  • Passion for wine coupled with intermediate wine qualifications
  • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen
  • The ability to develop new opportunities that will result in sales growth
  • Solid written & verbal communication skills
  • Personable, solution focused, resilient and driven personality
  • The ability to work autonomously and take calculated risks, while also building and fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with winery partners, suppliers, customers and team mates
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Current valid car license and own vehicle
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
