The City Spaces team is looking for highly skilled and motivated leaders to manage the integrated service delivery of staffed and community unstaffed facilities, and delivery of community programs across the Local Government Area.

Two Area Manager positions are available, one permanent full time, and one fixed term (to 30th June 2025).

The Area Manager Youth and Community will be responsible for managing and leading a team to develop and deliver innovative programs responsive to community needs and aligned to the Social Sustainability Policy and Action Plan. You will be responsible for coordinating a diverse team to deliver exceptional programs for young people and community, building strong and resilient relationships between and within the team and with the wider community. This role is fixed term to 30th June 2025. The Area Manager Community Venues will be responsible for managing and leading a team to provide access to 40 community hire spaces across COMMUNITY VENUES, community centres and libraries, setting the strategic direction for this team and leading on the implementation of a new online booking portal.

Both roles require exceptional leadership skills, the ability work in a fast paced environment with complex work priorities and experience in leading and developing diverse teams through change. Experience in developing programs through community consultation and well-developed skills in the development of metrics and reporting to analyse, evaluate and interpret data are also essential.
