We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to join our team.
About the role:
As an experienced Area Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional early learning services across your portfolio. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in early education and a passion for making a difference in the lives of children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Centre Managers and Educators to maintain high-quality educational programs and nurturing environments.
- Lead and mentor Centre Managers to ensure each service is compliant with all regulatory requirements and operational standards are met or exceeded within each service.
- Support professional development and training initiatives for staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee budgeting, wage management, resource allocation for centres, KPI management, identify potential risks to the business, and assist in accessing additional funding and/or subsidies including traineeship incentives.
- Monitor and assess the quality of each service, implement improvements as needed, and conduct regular inspections.
- Prepare and submit reports on the Centre’s performance, financial status, and any necessary documentation to senior management.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children through consistent adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
About you:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Area Manager role.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- A strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Fair Work and WH&S legislation, Code of Ethics, and other regulatory frameworks and legislation.
- Understanding of commercial and business acumen.
- Proven experience with the Department of Education.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
