Role Summary

We are a leading furniture company with a global presence, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to support our market expansion in QLD, driving revenue growth and profitability through our retail partners.
The Area Manager will be responsible for building close working relationships within our network of retail partner stores across metro and country QLD. The role will involve a strong focus on training, relationship building and clearly selling the features and benefits of our company and products.
Job Responsibilities
Key Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel across all retail stores.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with the account managers.
- Work with account managers to provide advice on the successful, ongoing development of their customer base and suggest actions to improve sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of display standards to ensure they meet the retailers’ standards.
- Plan call cycles, training, and any trade shows to maximise the investment in time across the territory.
- Ensure stock on the floor reflects the market potential and internal KPI’s, including the attainment of slot targets.
- Assist in developing the channel strategy, customer planning, and sales growth within the territory.
- Designing and delivering training programs to retail staff to support and drive sales
- Looking for new account opportunities, using existing and potential networks
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
Qualifications & Background
- A business degree is ideal, however not required.
- 3 years of accounts sales management, within the furniture or bedding industry
- Sales experience within the retail environment.
- Premium brand experience.
- Experience in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting.
- This role will be on the road 9/10 days.
