We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Area Manager, based in our Alice Springs office, the hub of our regional operations.

Position Objective: As an Area Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our municipal and commercial operations, ensuring compliance with legislation and contracts, and driving initiatives aligned with our strategic plan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to ensure efficient delivery of services including animal management, parks maintenance, waste management, and more
Collaborate with teams to achieve strategic goals and manage operational budgets effectively
Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff performance and service quality
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and external agencies to optimise service delivery
Provide expert advice and support to the Director Service Centre Delivery and Executive Leadership Team
Skills and Attributes:
Strong leadership and mentoring skills to empower team members and foster independence
Analytical mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to mediate and resolve conflicts
Proficiency in IT and financial management to ensure effective resource allocation
Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse environment and work collaboratively across multiple sites
Role Requirements:
Extensive experience in a similar management role with a focus on team development and budget management
Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning
Experience in managing service delivery in remote locations and overseeing commercial contracts
Relevant qualifications and certifications including NT Driver's License, White Card, and Working with Children (Ochre) Card
Travel Requirements: This role involves approximately 70% travel to remote communities within the MacDonnell Regional Council area, including overnight stays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions, including direct sunlight and heat
Manual handling of objects above 10kg and travel in light aircraft or 4WD vehicles on unsealed roads
