The Northern Territory Government is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist or physiotherapist to join the SEAT Service in Alice Springs. The successful candidate will have experience in wheelchairs, seating systems and other Assistive Technology (AT).
As a senior clinician you will be joining a supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will oversee day-to-day functions of the Seating Equipment and Technical Service (SEAT) and Territory Equipment Program (TEP) in Central Australia, and manage a small client caseload.
The available position provides to gain experience working with clients across the lifespan and varying clinical presentations, with scope to both service acute and community settings. You will gain experience working with different funding streams, and have the opportunity to travel to rural and remote communities.
You will work collaboratively with Technicians and other Allied Health Professional (AHPs) to provide specialist input to support AT assessments, product research, equipment trial and scripting for clients across Central Australia and Barkly.
You will provide clinical supervision and support to students, technical and administrative staff and report operations to the manager for ongoing planning and development of the services.
You will be supported with clinical supervision and professional development to further develop your knowledge and skills.
