About the role
Join Mazda Australia as the next Area Manager - Vehicle Dealership Network working across Vic & Tas. Reporting directly to the State Manager based in Mulgrave. This position requires regular travel to a portfolio of assigned dealerships within the region. This role is a key business development opportunity where you can help to drive growth in line with Mazda Australia’s sales objectives.
The relationship between Mazda Australia and the Dealer network is a critical factor that helps drive our collective business results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive increased sales volume profitability and market penetration for vehicles, parts, services, and accessories.
- Ensure dealerships consistently meet the business’s high-performance standards, focusing on the “Ultimate Customer Experience”.
- Undertake quarterly assessments of dealerships, communicating performance feedback to Dealer Principals, and implementing structured action plans.
- Oversee or implement training, co-operative advertising, national campaigns, and local market intelligence efforts among Dealers.
- Maintain a regular visit schedule with each dealership, adding value at every visit and reporting progress through dealer visit reports.
- Uphold Mazda’s brand reputation through effective management of policies, programs, and procedures, solidifying our position as a leading automotive brand for both Dealers and customers.
About You
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous automotive experience in a similar role.
- A self-starter with demonstrated ability to build long term strategic partnerships/relationships with new and existing customers.
- A proven track record of driving growth and development in a KPI-driven environment
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and influential abilities to inspire growth and drive business success.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Strong financial and analytical expertise.
- Valid driver’s licence and a willingness to travel regionally in WA and across the business national where applicable.
