Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) are the official distributor of the Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X range across Australia. IUA is experiencing strong growth within the marketplace and require a dynamic, innovative National Aftersales Manager to support business growth in the Aftersales Planning & Operations Department in our Brisbane Head Office.

Reporting to the General Manager – Aftersales Planning & Operations this role will be an integral part of our Regional Aftersales Team and in the achievement of our strategic objectives. This position will be a key support to IUA overseeing the development and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention in the Isuzu UTE Dealer network. The National Aftersales Manager will lead a team of 9 Regional Aftersales Managers in planning and executing Aftersales initiatives, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations. By continuously evaluating and optimizing Aftersales processes, this role will strive for operational excellence, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and success in the highly competitive automotive market.

About you 

The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience and expertise in Aftersales management within the Automotive Industry. They will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive results. With a strategic mindset and strong analytical capabilities, the ideal candidate will be adept at identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. The ability and confidence to communicate and negotiate concisely with all levels of management both within IUA and within Dealer management structures will be essential. 

About the role

As the National Aftersales Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive aftersales strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and overall business growth;
  • Manage the support and guidance of all Isuzu UTE Dealer Aftersales Operations, including service departments, parts business growth and customer support, to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with IUA company standards;
  • Provide strong leadership to the Regional Aftersales Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, while also supporting their professional development and growth; and
  • Regularly analyse Aftersales performance metrics, such as customer satisfaction scores and service centre efficiency to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.

Skill & Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years' Aftersales Operations management in the retail automotive industry, covering service departments, parts departments including customer satisfaction, support, and retention;
  • Experience in both retail and distributor operations is essential;
  • Proven strong leadership, fostering collaboration, motivating teams, and driving results;
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Aftersales strategies aligned with business goals, fostering innovation;
  • Experience analysing metrics, identifying trends, and optimising operations for enhanced customer satisfaction;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders, partners, and customers;
  • Customer-focused, delivering exceptional aftersales service for loyalty and satisfaction;
  • Problem-solving abilities for operational efficiency and customer contentment; and
  • Automotive technical qualifications are preferred but not essential.
