Our client is a prominent national provider of tires, specialising in distribution and wholesale across diverse industries. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional services and products to their clients. Currently experiencing a period of expansion, they are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager with a strong aptitude for sales and customer engagement to join their dynamic team.
THE ROLE:
Working across the Tasmania Region with a strong focus on Launceston, the main responsibility of this position is to drive new business and grow the presence of our clients business.
Reporting directly into the Regional Sales Manager you will join a great team that prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service to its large distributor clientele base. You will be a quick learner and demonstrate strong leadership qualities with the ability to drive change and collaborate with team members nationally. Duties will include but not limited to:
Lead, motivate and manage the activities of the field Business Development team to ensure that Area Sales and GP targets are exceeded
Ensure pricing disciplines are applied and all client relationships are prioritised
Proactively pursue new business in a structured, focused & considered manner
Developing and nurturing existing customers through systematic cycle visits and interactions
Ensure appropriate and effective levels of customer contact and quality of calls are maintained within the team
Coach and mentor team in developing and delivering strategies and activities aimed at growth through existing and new clients
Demonstrating a keen passion to drive the business forward and continuing to grow

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual, capable of handling a variety of tasks with efficiency and enthusiasm. You will also have:
Proven track record of successful business development and sales experience
People leadership and people management skills
Accountable go-getter with a passion for providing quality service
Ability to effectively analyse, interpret and develop action plans from reports and data
Passion and desire to achieve results and a positive attitude and hands on approach
Strong client relationship management skills with a consultative approach
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
