Reporting directly to the State Sales Manager, this role will suit an experienced Sales professional who is able to engage and secure new business, while nurturing existing accounts with the aim of establishing 'preferred supplier' status.
Some of the key tasks include:
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer / prospective customer contact towards achieving agreed budgets.
- Maintain and develop relationships in order to maximise retention of existing customers.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries.
- Seek and secure new business through cold calling on potential customers.
- Assist with telephone enquiries from distributors and major clients.
- Cooperate with and assist other staff and participate in their activities when requested or required.
Our successful candidate will possess:
- At least 5 years' experience in sales, capital equipment industry experience and mechanical aptitude a bonus.
- Experience in the capital equipment and/or industrial industries preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with effective sales and marketing techniques, including use of Salesforce or similar.
- Experience in managing sales cycles from start (lead generation) to finish (account maintaining/upselling).
- Highly organised and comfortable with managing multiple projects and tasks to meet timelines in a high pressure environment.
- Ability to travel through the state as required
- Self-motivated with the ability work autonomously.
- Positive and driven attitude with enthusiasm and energy.
