About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate Art Teacher to join our School community from Term 2 to Term 4 in 2024.
This is a part-time leave replacement position (FTE of 0.43), commencing in Term 2, 2024. Reporting to the Head of Junior School and Head of Arts, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art across the Junior School (Years Prep - 6).
The successful applicant will be highly creative and experienced in stepping into the delivery of Art curriculum. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Current VIT Registration.
- Previous experience teaching Art (preferably in a Junior School setting).
- A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives as they impact on Art.
- Demonstrated innovative use of ICT to enrich learning.
- Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and willingness to embrace the St Catherine’s Teaching for Thinking culture.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and contributing to a collegial environment.
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.
