Hesse Rural Health is seeking Health Care Workers to work in our Residential Aged Care Service in Winchelsea, Victoria
If you are an experienced Health Care Worker (previously called “Personal Care Assistant” or “PCA”) seeking a supportive work environment where you can have a positive impact on your local community, we want to hear from you.
Working in the residential care environment the Health Care Worker uses a person-centred approach assisting aged persons with their personal care and activities of daily living. This may include but is not limited to the provision of personal hygiene, continence support, nutrition support and addressing social, emotional and lifestyle care needs. All care interventions are undertaken, wherever possible, with the goal of maintaining resident independence and dignity utilising a person-centred model of care. The Health Care Worker works under the day-to-day direction of the designated Nursing shift leader.
Key Selection Criteria
- Nationally recognised Certificate III or IV level qualifications in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Prior experience in the provision of client care in a residential setting.
- Experience in the care of people with dementia.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
Residential Aged Care shifts include mornings, afternoons and night shifts.
