We are currently looking for a self-motivated and reliable person to carry out Asbestos Site Audits. This role is completed by undertaking onsite inspections and preparing written reports identifying the location of asbestos containing materials and developing an asbestos register. These reports will assist in improving occupant, contractor and public safety. The reports are Division 5 audits and are non-invasive/visual inspections only.
Mabi Services offers a wide range of specialised building and property inspections including Building Defect Reports, Essential Safety Measures Audits (ESM), Safety Reports (OHS), Asbestos Audits, Insurances Valuations and Maintenance Reports within the commercial and strata industries.
The Role
We currently have a full-time OR part-time position available for an Inspector within the Asbestos department where we are looking for an experienced inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate would include someone with experience in preparation of Asbestos Reports/Registers and/or a qualified asbestos removalist looking to get off the tools and transfer to an office-based career. Opportunities are available to further develop your existing skillset and branch out into other fields within our business.
Preferred but not essential skillset:
· Experience in the Asbestos/OHS industry
· Preparing reports/audits
· Class A or B (Asbestos Removal License)
· A qualification in OHS/WHS, Building Construction or Asbestos preferred
· Must have proficient computer skills and ability to work from office desk and site remotely
· Ability to use ladders
Primary Duties
· Driving to pre-determined customer locations, typically body corporates (common areas).
· Liaising with site representative and Senior Inspectors
· Undertaking site audits
· Compiling reports/audits and findings of Asbestos hazards on site
· Provide advice in relation to non-compliant items to clients
· Collection of sample tests onsite to be issued to the NATA laboratory.
Personal attributes must include being a team player, self-motivated and driven with the ability to work unsupervised. You must be well presented and have the ability to provide clear and concise communication both written and verbal.
