We’re searching for Bakers and Pastry Chefs to join our team, as we continue to achieve our dream of building a community centred around a love of artisanal sourdough croissants, pastries and bread. The ideal candidates will be obsessed with the art of baking and have a deep desire to be part of a skilled, efficient and creative team who are at the top of their game.

We would love to hear from:

  • Qualified bakers that are experienced in baking pastry products; and
  • Qualified Pastry Chefs that are experienced in baking.

The Team:We are a team of passionate and dedicated chefs ranging from just starting out to years in the game. Our kitchen team places importance on sharing knowledge and skills, highlighting our strengths and strengthening the gaps in each other's abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • 7 day roster, 5 days on 2 days off
  • Working hours rostered between 3am - 6pm
  • Weekend availability.

Attributes Required:

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience post qualification is essential withbakery experience / production kitchen experience
  • Dedicated team players with a passion for sweet and savoury artisan baking techniques
  • A sharp eye for detail, a passion for croissants and a desire to create andproduce products of the best standard
  • Reliable and committed to your role, punctual, well-presented showinginitiative and high motivation
  • Clear understanding of proper and safe operation of bakery equipment and utensils, HACCP and WHS
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Work well with others, share knowledge and communicate effectively.

Desired Skills:

  • Choux production
  • Macaron production
  • Basic creams, curds and fillings
  • Baking and proofing croissants
  • Natural fermentation and yeasted doughs
  • Laminated doughs.

To be eligible for this position you will need evidence of one of the following:

  • Australian (AQF issued) Trade/ Proficiency Certificate III in Retail Baking,Patisserie, Cake & Pastry, or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship within Australia.

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicants based on their experience and we will be flexible with the start date, if needed.Overseas candidates will be considered with sponsorship available. Must be fluent in English.
