Asbestos Supervisor

KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for an Asbestos Supervisor for our Santos Moomba project in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe removal, storage and disposal of asbestos materials ensuring that works are completed in a timely and cost effective manner, meeting contractual and regulatory obligations related to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Budget and Schedule.
• Attend and participate in regular planning meetings relating to asbestos removal works.
• Perform work area inspections to identify asbestos removal requirements.
• Develop risk assessments, JSA’s and Work Hazards relevant to the asbestos removal area.
• Work front planning including materials, resources, scheduling of tasks and estimation of time and costs.
• Ensure work areas are correctly erected and sealed off as per regulations, including walkways and areas surrounding asbestos removal location.
• Ensure asbestos surfaces are correctly sprayed with chemical solution to increase time efficiency of asbestos removal.
• Dispose of asbestos using correct disposal bags and ensure correct sealing of bags.
• Maintain correct cleaning techniques of work areas to correctly remove loose asbestos particles.
• Ensure correct dismantling techniques and disposal of work area structures.
• Ensure that all safety, environmental and waste management guidelines are strictly adhered to.
• Provide specialist advice, awareness and training to onsite personnel involved in asbestos removal works to ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements

About You

• Supervise Asbestos Removal Certificate
• Remove Non-Friable and or Friable Asbestos Certificate
• OHS White Card
• CSE
• Demonstrated experience as an Asbestos Supervisor.
