Asphalt Labourer

Randstad are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious HR/MR truck driver with a background in asphalting or civil labouring.

We are currently seeking Asphalt Labourers to join the team at the Eastern Creek Depot. If you have a strong work ethic, are reliable, and have a passion for working on civil projects, we want to hear from you!

About the role:The truck Driver is required to drive MR truck to and from sites and assist in Spraying functions of Gang Truck
- Climbing in/ out of truck, on/ off mobile plant, with the completion of prestarts and checks -
- Occasional use of jack hammer to chip away old asphalt left on kerbs and gutters and other road structures and footpaths
- Occasional use of road saw to pre cut areas of asphalt
- Use of hand tamper tool
- Carrying tools, equipment, materials from trucks
- Setting up and affixing form work, use of nails and hammers

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in excavation, preparation, and placement of Asphalt and Concrete
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project timelines are met
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines
• Perform tasks related to asphalting and civil labouring as directed by supervisors

Requirements:

• Previous experience in asphalting or civil labouring/tunnel experience
• Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Ability to work Monday to Friday on both day and night shifts
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Must be available to commence work as soon as possible
• Australian Permanent resident or citizen
• Pass drug and alcohol screening
