The Opportunity
We require an Assembly Foreperson, experienced in the assembly of Heavy-Duty Road Transport equipment, to oversee the fit out of new road transport equipment supplied to the mining and transport industries.
The Assembly Foreperson is responsible for leading, mentoring, coaching, and providing clear direction to the Assembly team on how to perform the required task/s, whilst also managing workflow and meeting deadlines in a safe and disciplined manner.
This position is:
- Full-time permanent role.
- 9/5 DIDO roster (3 hours’ drive from Perth).
- Accommodation and Meals Provided.
- Immediate Start.
Leading the Assembly team to ensure the effective delivery of trailer fit outs.
- Providing support to the team of tradespeople, trade assistants and apprentices.
- Guiding the team to ensure timeframes are met.
- Promoting a safe, clean and hazard free work environment and ensuring team members are complying with the safety standards set out from BRE.
- Prioritizing work schedules to meet organisation production targets.
- Mediating any concerns with jobs or staffing.
- Assembling, servicing, and repairing road transport equipment to BRE's high quality standards.
- Follow systems and procedures & fill out checklists and paperwork.
- Adhere to workplace Health & Safety requirements whilst performing all duties and ensure PPE is always utilized correctly.
- Uphold all facets of company culture – Professionalism, Caring, Integrity and Quality.
- Support and endorse the companies Vision, Mission, and Values.
- Keep the work area clean and tidy.
- Minimum 2 Years’ experience in mechanical/ assembly works.
- Previous leadership training & experience.
- Experience in Heavy Duty Road Transport manufacturing (trucks and trailers).
- Good sound knowledge of hydraulics and PTO systems used in tippers, air braking systems, as well as ABS/EBS, plus trailer electrical and lighting systems.
- HR Driver’s License (desirable).
- Forklift License.
- Positive people and communication skills.
- Ability to work within time constraints and meet deadlines.
- Good listener and team player.
- Must be methodical and organized.
