Asset Accountant

About your new role:

Part of the Asset Accounting Team Accounting Team of six, you provide subject matter expertise to the Asset Accounting Manager and General Manager Financial Control and are a crucial contributor to the overall financial success of the business.

Working as the Asset Accountant, you contribute to all aspects of the maintenance and integrity of EQL’s fixed asset registers and provide support for capital acquisitions and asset accounting processes.

You deliver advisory services to business partners on fixed asset processes and policy, ensuring a continuous improvement cycle in financial governance and compliance.

Actively participating in various key strategic projects as a subject matter expert, you contribute to project meetings, data analysis, migration and reconciliation activities, test case design and execution, and documentation review.

The remuneration for your new role is from $95k to $138k plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $110k to $157k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

About you:

You‘re an experienced accounting professional who’s degree qualified in either Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline. If you have experience working with SAP Fixed Assets or SAP FICO Modules, you stand out from the rest.

To guarantee your success in this role, you also have the following:

• Experience supporting project and asset accounting functions in a large and complex organisation across multiple sites.
• Sound understanding of financial accounting concepts with expertise in asset accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex situations, provide sound advice and offer effective solutions and recommendations to resolve system and business issues.
• Proven knowledge and experience in underlying business processes and requirements to support monthly and annual reporting cycles including reconciliations, audit requirements and other control measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in navigating financial systems, troubleshooting issues, and tracing data with the ability to question results and work through system problems to resolution.
