About the Position:

The Asset Management Specialist - Programming will be responsible for facilitating, monitoring, reviewing and maintaining the 10 year forward capital works program and associated reporting. The City has recently introduced a robust forward capital works programming process as part of the integrated planning process and informing the City’s long term financial plan and annual budget.   

This position will have the unique opportunity to be instrumental in shaping the forward capital works programming process within the organisation and improving on this initial well received format. The successful candidate will be part of a small team that supports decision-makers responsible for $1.1 Billion dollars of community assets, while interacting with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

The Person:

To be successful in this role you will have to demonstrate the ability to collaborate and contribute to a high performing team with problem solving, attention to detail, a can-do attitude, data management and analytical skills as well as excellent communication skills and facilitating working groups. Skills in undertaking project scheduling, costing and scoping, asset condition audits, working knowledge of Asset Management systems, asset valuation and asset accounting is desirable.

We are looking for someone with the right mix of commitment and skills and will consider applicants with a tertiary qualification in civil engineering, Asset Management, asset accounting, strategic planning, geographic information systems or a related field. Alternatively lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience will also be considered.
