About the role
The Asset Planner is responsible for understanding, implementing and continually improving the strategic asset framework components (such as plans, inspection regimes and planned maintenance programs) and developing future programs for assets that ensure best use of resources to achieve continually improving tenant outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the proactive inspection of all built form assets
- Coordinate the development of a transparent, comprehensive framework and long-term strategy for asset management linked to Home in Place’s Strategic Plan, with direction and contribution by the Executive Manager of Strategic Assets & Development
- Ensure documentation of agreements is overseen and coordinated to meet commercial standards and appropriate risk management practices in regard to long term effective asset management
- Provide input into potential or current Development Projects as required
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Contributions to requirements for cyclical maintenance in regards to extending asset life and optimising asset performance.
To be successful in this role you will possess substantial experience in the Housing and Homelessness sector, including collaboration with governmental and non-governmental entities. Your expertise in people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement will be paramount. You will also possess:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management, facilities management, business analytics or a related field
- Qualifications in Asset Management (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in working independently and proactively to drive project tasks to completion and exercising sound judgement on decision making within these tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyse situations, identify relevant issues and draw appropriate conclusions
- Demonstrated competencies in data analysis combined with excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with be vital and able to demonstrate your ability to prepare written documentation clearly and accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including persuasive abilities, effective listening, diplomacy and tact, team-playing with demonstrated success in dealing with corporates.
