This role would specialise in the delivery, maintenance, and optimisation of assets across their entire life cycle including design, commissioning, operations and maintenance. The role would provide hands on expertise and guidance in the development of Asset Class Strategies, Asset Design Manuals, Standards, Functional Requirements and Project Scopes associated with telecommunications network, cybersecurity, computer systems and the overall integration of Operational Technology systems.
As ElectraNet owns and manages an extensive telecommunications network across South Australia, this role would support telecommunication assets across the state which are used to operate the high voltage electricity transmission network.
The role would also require a good grasp on equipment and technology knowledge for day-today. Some of these may include:
- Telecommunications Networks (IP/MPLS, DWDM and Microwave Radio).
- Knowledgeable in TDM and WDM technologies.
- Computer technology (virtualisation, OSs, RBA).
- Cyber security technologies (whitelisting, monitoring, domain controls).
- Telecommunications Systems (Network, Element and Configuration Management).
- Engineering Management Systems.
- CCNP certification or equivalent is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering, with at least 5 years of working experience.
- Solid experience managing asset full life cycle with vast knowledge and experience implementing process changes to establish or improve asset and technology lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of telecommunications, cybersecurity systems and concepts within most areas of digital technology discipline, with a capability and capacity to broaden that expertise across the entire scope of the asset class.
- Previous experience working in a transmission / distribution business.
- Good understanding of Power Line Carrier systems.
- Demonstrated experience with process automation using scripting techniques.
- Demonstrable ability to work with a high level of autonomy, adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
- Advanced analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
