Asset Strategy Manager

As an Asset Strategy Manager at the Port of Melbourne (PoM), you will play a pivotal role in Australia's largest maritime hub. You will lead a small team of engineers dedicated to enhancing asset management engineering strategies and life cycle plans, while prioritising safety, reliability and integrity of the PoM’s assets. This involves crafting capital and operational budgets to ensure alignment with business objectives. Ideally, you possess a proven track record in enhancing asset management strategies and asset management plans within an asset owner or consulting environment. Your ability to lead and mentor a small team will hold you in good stead to drive outcomes and influence key business objectives effectively.
Your key responsibilities will be:

• Lead a small team of professional engineers through mentoring and fostering an inclusive team culture.
• Maintain and enhance elements of the Compass, including AMP’s, engineering strategies and workflows to maintain accreditation to ISO550001.
• Develop and refine the suite of Engineering Strategies for the asset classes under the control of the Asset Management department taking into consideration all legislative, engineering standards, requirements, and policies.
• Take the lead in strategic lifecycle modelling for PoM assets
• Collaborate with various business areas to achieve overarching goals
