About the team
Our Utilities Network Maintenance team is responsible for maintaining all passive utility infrastructure including water, sewerage and stormwater network assets. The team consists of supportive professionals that encourage growth, innovation and a great working environment.
About your new role
Under the direction of the Supervisor Programmed Maintenance, you will undertake maintenance, auditing and investigation work on water and sewer networks throughout the city, including:
- Ensuring all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legislative requirements and responsibilities.
- Completing work in accordance with the relevant codes and standards.
- Providing and delivering a high standard of service to meet customers’ expectations and the sections' service and operational standards.
- Participating in planned maintenance activities.
We're looking for people who have:
- Pride in their work and have a track record of ensuring that all work is performed to meet quality, safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Motivation and require limited supervision to 'get the job done right’.
- A proven capacity to apply initiative judgement, and resources effectively to achieve organisational goals to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Experience in leak detection, auditing, CCTV and asset Inspections.
- The ability to work well in a team environment.
- Thorough work processes and strong attention to detail.
- A C Class Driver’s Licence Unrestricted (Mandatory).
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent knowledge (Mandatory).
