AddressWe're looking for a detail-orientated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth on a 12-month contract.
You will
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable and Receivable team to efficiently support the AP/AR process.
- Be involved in monthly reporting to clients working with the senior accounting team.
- Assist in the reporting and analysis of financial results for the CFO.
- Assist and complete monthly reports including balance sheet recs, variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are in line with SOX requirements.
- Backup to the payroll officer.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly media reconciliations.
- Other ad-hoc admin tasks.

The role
As an Assistant Accountant you will:
- Be an excellent communicator, who is well organised and meticulous, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- At least one to three years of experience in an accounting role.
- Feel comfortable working autonomously as required.
- Have a passion for process improvement, adopting new technologies and processes.
Confidentiality, attention to detail and trust are key attributes in this role.

The fine print
This role is parental leave cover contract (12-months, max-term contract).
