Assistant Accountant

Quantum Comms are a well-established company specialising in Rigging, Civils, Comms, EWP and plant hire with a long history of delivering complex projects in the telecommunication field. Currently based in Victoria with presence in Queensland, with the ability to service Clients Australia wide. We have a highly skilled team with over 40 staff members.

About the Job

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking to employee an experience Assistant Accountant to join our team.

• Permanent full time position
• Monday to Friday
• Located in Craigieburn

Reporting directly to Senior Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Bank & Ledger Accounts Reconciliation 
• Database management
• Month-end accounting procedures 
• End to End Payroll Function including staff queries, termination payments, workers compensation claims etc
• General accounting duties

Skills: 

• Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting / payroll process
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Applications. (word, excel)
• Proficient knowledge in MYOB and Xero
• Great customer service experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Self-motived.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.
• Highly organised and able to priorities.
• Team player.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Fast learner – ability to pick up new skills and concepts quickly.

Qualifications/Tickets/Licenses

• Tertiary qualification in business or accounting 
• Australian driver's license.
• National Police Check.
