A well-known business based in Melbourne CBD is looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team.
The Role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be coming into the team to work through a backlog of work that has formed due to recent acquisitions. This will be a varied role. The position offers a hybrid work-from-home/office option and is a full-time role for around 3 months - 6 months.
Your primary duties will comprise of:
- Transferring of data
- Data entry
- Contacting customers/ support existing customers
- assisting with the AP/AR functions
- G/L reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- other ad hoc duties
You will be an allrounder, someone who can hit the ground running in a busy environment, preferably from manually based, high volume and deadline-driven environments. The successful candidate will obtain the following attributes:
- Accurate, high-speed data entry skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to deadlines
- Hard working team player
- Good working knowledge of Excel and a large ERP Systems (ie SAP, Dynamix, Oracle, JD Edwards etc)
- experience with Baseline highly desired but not a requirement.
