Assistant Audit Manager

Leading and proud mid tier firm with inspirational Partners and a fabulous culture requires an experience Assistant Audit Manager.  This exciting role will develop you to become a Manager and beyond, presenting you with exciting overseas secondment opportunities along the way, if travel is your thing.

Reporting through to a Senior Manager this role will encourage you to lead on audit jobs, supervise team members and review their work.  Some other responsibilities include:

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues;
• Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
• Performs reviews of audit work;
• Summarises the key areas of the engagement for the partner;
• Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
• Assisting with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
• Monitors staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and
• Assists partners and managers in business development and marketing activities.

You will have completed you CA or CPA qualification, have proven audit experience and be looking for that recognised accounting firm, in your portfolio of experience.  You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.  You will also have working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation.
