  • Remuneration: $90,916 to $102,545 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $76,825 to $86,652 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Gardens Point (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Assistant Auditor to join Office of the General Counsel, Chancellery Division.

As part of the Assurance and Audit unit, this position will assist in providing the University with a comprehensive internal audit function, and supporting the Director, Assurance and Audit and the Assurance and Audit team.

The Office of the General Counsel is led by the General Counsel and is responsible for providing legal services to the University. It provides legal advice to the Vice-Chancellor and President, Senior Executives and Council. The portfolio also includes the Assurance and Audit department, which provides independent analysis, appraisals, recommendations, advice and information about QUT’s internal control systems, effectiveness, and performance quality. Additionally, the department contributes toward corruption and fraud prevention which is an integral part of all University activities..

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree, or completion of an associate diploma level qualification in conjunction with relevant work experience.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency with digital technologies relevant to the position including MS Office Suite, databases and analytic applications.
  3. Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with a diverse range of people at all levels in a professional manner while maintaining a high level of client service.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively to support a team in a complex environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to use initiative, judgement and analytical skills to solve problems and manage competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
  6. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
