The Position
The Shire of Manjimup is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to assist the Environmental Sustainability Officer in undertaking a range of biodiversity assessment activities.
This role includes, but not limited to:
- Provide hands-on assistance to the Environmental Sustainability Officer in bushland settings.
- Communicate hazards and safety issues.
- Provide basic manual labour tasks.
- Take accurate records.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Basic manual labour skills relevant to data collecting and assessment of nature settings.
- Good understanding of hazards and working safely in nature settings.
- Office administration, including use of office-related computer software.
- Practical experience in working in a bushland setting (desirable).
- Experience in taking field and/or meeting notes.
Qualifications / Clearances
- National Police Clearance.
- Current “C” class drivers licence.
- Nil biodiversity qualifications required - training delivered on the job.
