Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. The College is seeking a full-time Assistant Business Manager to join our dedicated team, commencing in August 2024. This new and pivotal role will support the strategic and operational functions of our school. We are seeking a candidate capable of understanding the unique context of school operations, who is a strategic thinker capable of coordinating and delivering projects, as well as planning and implementing effective strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of personal acumen and judgment and is comfortable navigating the complexities of a dynamic educational environment.
We see this role as a medium-term development position, aimed in the longer term as a stepping stone to a Business Manager position.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have relevant experience in business administration, assisting a Business Manager or equivalent Senior Executive (previous experience within an educational institution favourable)
- Have certification in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent (would be desirable) .
- Have relevant experience in financial management and project management – CA or CPA qualification would be highly regarded.
- Are solution orientated with the ability to work autonomously and proactively while maintaining a high level of integrity, confidentiality and diplomacy
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication and well-developed interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Are highly proficient computer skills in the MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Have a current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Have a strong commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
