About you:
Working as the Assistant Chef, your specific responsibilities include:
- Working to prepare & present a wide variety of nutritional and cost-effective meals suitable for children 0 to 6 years of age
- Manage allergy and intolerance requirements with food preparation
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with Food Safety Program
- Adhere to food safety standards at all times, while having a strong sense of children's nutritional and dietary requirements along with the understanding of Nutrition Australian and Nino ELA's guidelines, policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Chef
- Previous experience in a Childcare environment
- Studying or completion of a Commercial Cookery qualification
- Must have a passion for creating healthy and nutritious meals for children
- Current 'Food Safety Supervisor' certificate (suitable for early learning centres)
- Current Working with Children Check (Employer), First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis certificate
