About the roleThe Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care& After School Care at our Pymble location.
This is a permanent part time position working 30 hours per week
During term time this role has split shifts working Monday to Friday, in the mornings from 7 am to 9am, with one morning finish being 11am. Afternoon hours are 2:30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Duties
- Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests, needs of school age children, and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
- Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
- Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
- Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, providing guidance and support.
- Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate.
- Working With Children Check.
- Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
- Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
- National Criminal History Check.
- Qualifications or extensive experience in working in outside school hours care.
- Skills and experience in team leadership.
