About the role
The Assistant Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Coordinator to provide programs for children aged 5 – 12 years in Before School Care & After School Care at our Balgowlah location.
This is a permanent full time position term time only. There will the option of additional casual work during the school holidays at our other local Vacation Care services.
Duties
Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
Ensure Compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service, providing guidance and support.
Working in support of the coordinator on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
Requirements
Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate.
Working With Children Check.
Highly Desirable
Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
National Criminal History Check.
Qualifications or significant experience in working in outside school hours care.
Skills and experience in team leadership.
