Role Summary:

The Assistant Development Manager is responsible for assisting Senior Development Managers and Development Managers in the Regional South Team in delivering land development and property projects to achieve project and business objectives.

You will work under the guidance of the Senior Development Managers and Development Managers to help in the assembly and delivery of a wide range of land development projects in the Wheatbelt, Peel, South West and Great Southern Regions of the State.

DevelopmentWA’s portfolio of Regional projects include an exciting range of residential and mixed-use developments that create inclusive communities to address the current and future residential needs across the State.

As the Assistant Development Manager, you will assist in providing project administration assistance to Senior Development Managers and Development managers through:

  • Undertaking project due diligence
  • Coordinating marketing activities
  • Obtaining approvals
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and engaging in consultation
  • Consolidating information and providing basic analysis on data for project performance
  • Monitoring of income and expenditure against agreed project plans and budgets
  • Investigation of issues and/or development and implementation of initiatives
  • Procurement of goods and services within established procedures
  • Contributing to the development of project schedules

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Some experience or knowledge of project management, land development, property or a related industry
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office products.
  • Negotiation skills (desirable)
  • Financial management skills (desirable)
  • A relevant qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in an organisation with similar values and ethics to DevelopmentWA (highly desirable)
