Due to business growth, they have a rare job opportunity for a motivated and driven Assistant Development Manager to join their Adelaide CBD office, where their culture focuses on building relationships and delivering successful outcomes. 

 
Your new role  

As the Assistant Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support the project team to ensure all civil construction and landscaping infrastructure is delivered on time and within budget. You will work closely with Senior Project Managers, Directors, Sales, Marketing, Encumbrance, Consultants, Contractors and the wider Community. 
 
Responsibilities: 

• Participate in multiple aspects of project delivery including planning, encumbrance, contractor negotiation and award, sales & marketing support, financial management and optimisation, community and stakeholder engagement, civil, landscape and built form construction management 
• Ensure the highest level of presentation of projects by overseeing sites, working with contractors, builders and homeowners 
• Actively assess, manage and enforce encumbrances across projects 
• Report development updates to Development Management and Directors 
• Manage project budget to achieve financial targets 
• Stay up to date on new industry practices, policy and legislation 
• Provide support to contract administration and sales team, as required 

What you'll need to succeed  

• Demonstrated experience in land development and in the construction industry  
• Encumbrance knowledge is desired but not essential 
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills 
• Adaptability and ability to think on your feet 
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• Proven experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate initiative 
• Valid South Australian Driver’s license and vehicle
