- Develop and implement IT Asset management policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Establish and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and peripherals.
- Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to organizational guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate asset data accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to optimize asset procurement processes, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective asset acquisition.
- Monitor asset utilization and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Coordinate with IT service management teams to integrate Asset management processes into service delivery workflows.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on Asset management practices, including asset tagging, tracking, and retirement.
- Implement tools and technologies to automate Asset management processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to IT Asset management.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Asset management or a related field.
- Proficiency in IT Asset management tools and ServiceNow software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI tool.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software asset lifecycles, licensing models, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
- Certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP).
