Aravina's wines are now fully estate grown and their entire journey from vine to bottle is completed on site. The winery includes climatically controlled barrel storage, premium small batch processing, new technology berry sorting equipment and a state of the art laboratory that enable us to produce award winning wines for ourselves and our select contract customers.As a Cellar Operator, you will play a crucial role in the wine production team, from vineyard to bottling. You will work closely with our winemaking team to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the winemaking process. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to adapt to work in other parts of production within the business.Job Requirements Responsibilities:
- Assist with grape harvest, vineyard activities and crushing operations.
- Operate and maintain winery equipment
- Perform fermentation management tasks, including monitoring temperatures and conducting pump-overs and punch-downs.
- Assist in the racking, blending, and fining of wines.
- Conduct barrel maintenance tasks and ensuring oak is stored in the required manner
- Perform sanitation duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment..
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment..
- Previous experience in a cellar or production environment preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Willingness to work long hours during harvest season. (Feb to April)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for wine and a desire to learn and grow in the winemaking industry.
