About the Role
The legislative reform branch with the Department is seeking an events Manager to manage the increasing frequency and complexity of consultations and engagements with key stakeholders, governance forums and the public on the new Act and related amendment Bills.
The primary focus of the role will involve the Planning, logistics and administrative management for public consultation on the Exposure Draft of the Bill, for the new Aged Care Act including: webinar preparation and content development in consultation with Ageing and Aged Care Communications Branch, face-to-face workshops, Stakeholder Roundtables, targeted briefings with priority stakeholder organisations and groups etc.
Duties
- Developing consultation papers and other material to support public consultations on the legislation.
- Collating and analysing the feedback received through public consultation and engagement with key advisory bodies, including the National Aged Care Advisory Council and the Council of Elders
- Develop comprehensive consultation reports for public release, setting out the key messages and themes of the consultations, the Government's response, and the next steps.
What's on offer
The successful candidate will notionally be offered an 18month hourly rate contract at the EL1 level. This position is based in Canberra.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens that hold a baseline clearance or a willingness to obtain, will be considered for this vacancy.
