The role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse leader to join the Integrated Operations Centre team. This pivotal role provides effective leadership and operational management to achieve the defined objectives of the health service with regards to service-wide patient Access and Flow management across Hospitals South.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high level of senior operational leadership and direction, ensuring resources are effectively utilised, and identify opportunities for improvement and implement change processes, including human resourcing, service delivery models, structural and operational changes required for the delivery of high quality, efficient and seamless care.
This position demands strong organisational and problem-solving skills, integrating and leading quality improvement, project management, reform changes, Safety and Quality standards, learning and research/evidence implementation, and service redesign priorities into the day-to-day operations of their area. This includes the development of integrated multidisciplinary models of care and best use of data systems to reduce variability and optimise patient pathways across sectors, agencies, and divisions to improve access, outcomes, and experience.

Details of Appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight (with on-call), commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $139,948 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award
Eligibility:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Holds a relevant postgraduate qualification and can demonstrate application of the acquired knowledge base to achieve nursing service improvements and organisational outcomes aligned to the hospital-wide professional requirements of the position.
