THE ROLEWe're seeking a Regional Commercial Director to be based in our Perth CBD office. Reporting to the General Manager - WA & SA. You be responsible for contractual and commercial compliance to maximise the profitability while ensuring compliance with policies and business procedures. Adherence to internal and external governance, contractual and commercial management and coordination of these activities ensuring essential procedures are produced, implemented and documented while achieving contractual requirements and Project milestones.
Responsibilities include:- Proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities.
- Review and develop new processes and streamline transactional activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of contract claims and review financial information.
- Implement an effective and empowered organisational structure.
- Management experience with the capability to develop business plans and delivery responsibility.
- Proactively manage dispute process with clients and subcontractors.
- Working knowledge of common law, state and federal legislations and statutes relating to commercial issues.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 20 years in project delivery, minimum 5 years as commercial lead Commercial management of a business unit with revenue in the millions. All achieved via multiple projects with varying contracting forms, i.e. Alliances, Design and Construct, Construct only and Maintenance Contracts.
- Management experience (general and operational) with capability to establish strategic / business plans and the successful achievement.
- Establish systems and processes to promote commercial performance, including adhering to financial processes.
- Strategic management of the entire suite of consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, etc. from procurement to final account with the support of a commercial team,
- Analyse contractual/legal issues.
- Utilise appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Negotiation and inter-relationship skills, effective dispute resolution skills.
- Develop and apply innovative solutions.
