About the RoleThe Assistant Director of Nursing/Midwifery (ADON/ADOM) provides contemporary operational and professional nursing and midwifery leadership for the Clinical Governance Unit. The role shapes clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.
Responsible for the activities supporting the operational achievement of performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.- Act as an expert professional resource resolving complex, clinical, governance, operational and ethical challenges.- Foster professional decision making in alignment with standards and frameworks by contributing to planning, coordination and evaluation of standards of practice, models of care and operational requirements.- Collaborate and engage with nursing and midwifery colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, committees and advisory groups which support operational and strategic functions of Metro South Hospital and Health Service.
