This role is a 12 month contract and is located in Geelong.Your new role as EL1 Procurement Capability - Assistant Director:The EL1 Procurement Assistant Director is a pivotal within the team, tasked with executing complex tasks under broad directives. It involves leadership, decision-making, and management of resources and personnel, with a focus on resolving challenges across procurement functions. The position requires independence for problem-solving and policy advice, ensuring high-quality outcomes.Key duties include:
- Lead the Procurement Capability Programme and implement training recommendations.
- Support engagement and communication on procurement principles and processes.
- Create and deliver procurement content and notices for the agency.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and analyze the Procurement Capability questionnaire.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Experience in procurement, counsil, state or federal
- Thorough familiarity and comprehension of the Australian Government's procurement policy framework
- Proficient in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Capable of prioritising tasks and effectively managing multiple deadlines concurrently.
