Position Overview
The Assistant Director Procurement undertakes a high-level leadership role in Procurement and Contract Management that contributes to the ongoing leadership of Corporate Services and develops strong relationships across the Entity, providing support to and working closely with the various business units. The successful applicant of this position will oversee the development of complex, high-risk procurements for goods and services and legal services and will ensure the integrity of procurement processes and strategy across the Entity.
The position will be required to work autonomously on most tasks, and will be expected to display initiative and be proactive by identifying improvement opportunities that represent a value for money outcome.
The position is part of a small team and must play a role in the formulation of Court wide policy, procedures and guidelines. This position will involve communication with all areas within the Courts as well as developing significant relationships with external providers. The role will support senior managers with procurement and contracting.
