Our government client is looking for an Assistant Director - Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, delivering and coordinating with stakeholders for the implementation of the whole of department procurement reform through the Procurement Reform Program (Program).Role Title: Assistant Director - Project Manager
Contract Length: 6 month initial contract with a high chance of extension
Daily Pay: $78 - $84/Hour + Super
Location: Canberra, ACT - Remote candidates will not be consideredRole Requirements:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets including a delivery pathway with agreement from program streams to ensure that the Program implementation is on track, in scope and within budget.
- Develop and maintain productive and influential working relationships with a range of key stakeholders including internal clients across the public service and senior executives.
- Engage Procurement staff, ensuring that team members are fully informed and engaged as part of a collaborative one-team approach and work effectively and collaboratively to achieve the program objectives and vision.
- Leverage knowledge of procurement services and Frameworks to build on existing plans and strategies ensuring delivery pathways for streams are implemented and aligned to the Procurement Reform Program.
1.Excellent skills in planning, leading and co-ordinating activities to manage and implement a program from initiation to final transition into operational, business-as-usual management.
2.Knowledge of, or aptitude to understand, Government procurement regulation, governance and processes.
3.Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written) including effective representation skills and strong attention to detail.
4.Excellent strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, and the ability to make sound judgements on sensitive and complex areas.Candidates must be based in Canberra (remote candidates will not be considered) and must possess existing full working rights - Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
