Assistant Farm Manager to join their ranks in Yandilla, QLD. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to learn from and collaborate with a super passionate Farm Manager, playing a pivotal role in this industry powerhouse's continued success.
Your Role
Join an established, motivated, and high-performing team with a collaborative culture and ‘no ego’ environment atmosphere, where everyone chips in where necessary. As the Assistant Farm Manager, you'll be the Farm Manager's right-hand person, playing a vital role in overseeing daily operations. You'll manage and mentor a skilled team of 18, ensuring top-quality egg production in a safe, efficient, and animal-welfare-focused environment.
This farm boasts 15 sheds and houses roughly 255,000 cage-free hens. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing, developing, and monitoring the laying system for optimal egg quality and efficiency.
- Aid in site development, workflow implementation, and ensuring smooth egg flow to the grading floor.
- Ensuring efficient egg operation to the Grading Floor.
- Maintaining and operating egg conveyors and packers to keep things running smoothly.
- Monitor flock health, prioritise animal welfare, and ensure adherence to all guidelines.
- Ensuring animal welfare and adherence to guidelines.
- Assist with covering alarm calls to ensure prompt action Undertaking other operational tasks as directed.
Our ideal candidate will be motivated with a go-getter attitude, and happy to chip in wherever necessary. Demonstrated experience supervising a culturally diverse team will be highly regarded as well as experience or exposure within the Poultry space.
