As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure success in our operational, financial, and strategic goals. Your keen eye for detail, drive to deliver a world class experience and ability to successfully manage and motivate a large and diverse team will be pivotal in your success.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will take good care of both our team and guests at The Star Sydney.

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Manage and develop the daily operations ensuring departmental objectives are achieved
  • Set daily performance objectives for Housekeeping Services Supervisor
  • Monitor and manage team members absenteeism, annual leave, time and attendance
  • Support training and career development programme for the department

What we are looking for:

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and act on guest requests appropriately
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster including weekends
  • Experience building positive working relationships between departments and within the team
