The Nursing Team at the Bowen Hospital is seeking applications for an Assistant in Nursing to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The purpose of the Assistant in Nursing is to provide a mechanism to support the various Clinical and Non-Clinical work areas with Nursing provision, from appropriately skilled staff to meet service delivery needs.
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) assists and supports the Registered Nurse (RN) in the provision of direct/indirect person-centred care as required. The AIN is responsible for providing nursing care in a professional, safe and compassionate manner according to their education and competence.
About the Team
The Bowen hospital is a 20-bed plus 9 chairs (renal and oncology) acute hospital which offers several specialty inpatient and outpatient services and a 24/7 emergency department. The refurbished Emergency Department (ED) provides assessment and management of care to a wide variety of conditions from acute trauma management to acute care of medical conditions across all age groups from paediatrics to geriatrics. Bowen ED is a level two facility under the current Clinical Services capability Framework. Patients requiring ongoing care in a tertiary facility are stabilised and transferred.
Bowen Hospital utilises a multi - disciplinary approach modelled on current best practice principles to provide positive outcomes for patients and families.
